THE FCPA'S I FALL TO PIECES BUILDING FUND

We're a little worried . . .

Here's where we are:

 Here's where we're heading:

Uh-oh.

In August 2013, the FCPA's Board of Directors had a professional "building audit" performed to determine the condition and safety of the historic theater building and its more recent companion, Harmon Hall (which houses the Rehearsal Stage, Dressing Room and public restrooms). A number of significant structural and infrastructure issues were identified - probably not surprising given the age of the theater building (122 years and counting!) and Harmon Hall.

The FCPA wants to remedy as many of the problems as we can. The result will be buildings which are more structurally robust, more comfortable and safer for our guests. It's our goal to help this local LaVeta treasure last another 122 years! In honor of our June 2014 production of the musical Always, Patsy Cline, we have aptly named our building fund the "I Fall To Pieces" Building Fund.

Here are the major items that need to be addressed as soon as possible:

1. Install an additional outside exit door on the west side of the theater seating area;

2. Remedy a number of small electrical issues relating to outlets and wiring; and

3. Remedy several heating, ventilation and air conditioning problems to improve the overall efficiency of those systems.

In addition to the above, the FCPA plans to re-paint the theater foyer and lobby and the public areas of Harmon Hall and re-carpet the theater foyer, lobby and seating area.*

How can you help? DONATE! As you know, the FCPA is a small 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Revenue from our shows and memberships pays the bills month after month and year after year - YES! - so we are entirely self-sustaining without any funding from the Town of LaVeta (which actually owns the theater's real estate) or other outside entities, with the exception of an occasional private grant or generous private donation. But this means that when major repairs or improvements are needed, we must have HELP from our supporters. You can be one of those "Heavenly Helpers" listed below!

If you would like to help out - and we need all the help we can get! - just click on the gold "Donate" button below and complete the form that appears. You can pay with a credit card or a PayPal account. We will need your mailing address to send you an acknowledgement letter to use for tax purposes.

Remember: The Francisco Center for the Performing Arts is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation so your donation may be tax deductible!

    THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
*The FCPA will also seek grant funding (which will be matched by the Town of LaVeta) to patch and paint the ceiling in the audience seating area and to make major repairs to the theater building foundation and chimney. These three repair items, together, are estimated to cost around $33,000 so grant funding is required to get this work done.
